What we collect
An account holds your email address, your display name if you provide one, your plan, and the date you signed up. Using the product stores the text you translate together with its result, your saved items, groups and tags, and the files you upload for document or photo translation.
Anonymous use
Without an account, your translation history stays in your browser's local storage and is not sent to us as history. If you later create an account, the app offers to import that local history into it.
Who processes your data
We rely on external providers to deliver the features: Google Cloud Translation for text translation, Google Cloud Vision for reading text in images, OpenAI and Anthropic for dictionary entries and rewriting, OpenAI Whisper for speech-to-text, Amazon SES for sign-in emails, and Stripe for payments. Each receives only what its feature needs, and Stripe — not us — handles your card details.
Cookies
We set a session cookie once you sign in and a token used to protect requests against cross-site forgery. Both are required for the app to work; we do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Retention
Your history and saved items stay until you delete them or delete your account. Files uploaded for document and photo translation are removed automatically 30 days after upload. Dictionary entries are cached without personal identifiers so the same lookup can be reused across users.
Your rights and contact
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted — deleting your account removes your history and saved items. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
